    Frequently asked questions

Why a Pilates Reformer in a physiotherapy practice?

The Reformer offers finely adjustable, controlled resistance through springs — ideal for post-operative recovery, lower back complaints, neurological rehabilitation and oncology exercise therapy. Movement paths are guided, so patients can be loaded safely while you measure progression accurately.

Which equipment is suitable for rehabilitation?

The Reformer and the Cadillac (Trapeze Table) are the two most commonly used machines in physio and rehabilitation. A Stability Chair and a Ladder Barrel are additionally valuable for balance, core and mobility work. We advise based on your patient population and treatment rooms.

Can we rent equipment instead of buying?

Yes. Many practices choose to rent or lease: no one-off investment, tax-deductible as an operating expense, and maintenance plus emergency replacement included. Rental periods from 3 months.

Is DFX/Essence suitable for medical use?

Yes. Our Reformers and Cadillacs are EN ISO 20957-1/-2 certified (Class S, professional/studio). The wooden frames and spring sets are built for intensive daily use in healthcare facilities.

How much space do I need?

One Reformer station requires roughly 240×100 cm of free floor space. A Cadillac has a fixed frame of 210×100×200 cm and needs at least 250 cm of ceiling height. We measure the treatment room as part of the quote.

Do you also provide training for our therapists?

We install and instruct on correct use, maintenance and safety. For clinical Pilates education we work with accredited training institutes — on request we connect you with a partner in your region.

    Need a different model?

Looking for a different reformer model?

Rental.fitness rents only one reformer: purpose-built for the rental market — stronger, sturdier and easier to move than a standard studio reformer. For the full range (sales, other series, custom builds) we refer you to our sister brand DFX.
