What an amazing weekend it was during cycling for sophia 2024! As a proud partner and supplier of the essential spinning bikes, we want to take you on a ride through the highlights of this unforgettable event.
Following the success of Cycling for Sophia 2023, which raised more than €455,000 for the Center for Rare Disorders, we took up the challenge again this year. Nearly 2,000 passionate participants pedaled records not only in kilometers, but also in donations, with an amazing €670,569 raised!
Why was this year so special? The proceeds will be used to support doctors and researchers at the Erasmus MC Sophia Children's Hospital to purchase a protein analysis device. This device, which requires only one drop of blood, will speed up the diagnosis and treatment of children with immune disorders. A step forward in the medical world thanks to the support of Cycling for Sophia 2024!
Fitness Equipment.com played a key role in the success of this event. Not only did we supply and install 195 high-quality spinning bikes, we also ensured flawless handling after the event. Our goal was to completely unburden the organizers and participants so they could concentrate on raising money for this important cause.
The results speak for themselves: with the dedication of the Friends of Sophia and our fitness equipment, we not only raised a record amount, but also made a difference in the lives of children battling rare diseases.
